J. Amores, pronounced as J. Amores or “Jamores”, I am a Bay Area calligrapher specializing in wedding signage and live event experiences, including corporate events, brand activations, and special occasions.
My last name, Amores, meaning “lovers” in Spanish, is at the heart of my work and the inspiration behind my brand. It reflects what I aim to capture through every piece—love, celebration, and meaningful connection.

Behind the pen
Meet Jasmine
When I’m not immersed in calligraphy, I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Polynesian dancer, and stationery enthusiast. My 9-5 is all about making meaningful, socially significant changes in people’s lives, which is something I’m deeply passionate about. Outside of work, I’m either preparing for my next dance performance or competition. Dance and calligraphy are my creative outlets, where I find both self-expression and stress relief. I’m also a huge fan of travel, and I’m always dreaming of a warm and sunny destination.
I started my calligraphy journey in 2016 when family and friends began reaching out to me for small projects. It wasn’t until the pandemic, though, that I discovered the calming therapy of creating. I’d often listen to Lo-Fi music while using my favorite brush pen and paper to write random quotes and song lyrics. Over the past year, I’ve found so much joy in my practice, and I’m excited to share my passion with others and be a part of their own creative journeys.
