HEY! Just a little introduction about the creator. My name is Jasmine, a Filipina born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. Amores (lovers in Spanish) is my last name, and I’ve always wanted to incorporate it into my business somehow, and so J. Amores Calligraphy was born.
I’m a calligrapher, BCBA, Polynesian dancer, and stationery enthusiast. My 9-5 consists of creating meaningful, socially significant changes in individuals’ lives, and I absolutely love it. When I’m not creating behavior plans or evidence-based treatments, life consisted of preparing for the next show or dance competition for dance. Creating has been my outlet to express myself and relieve stress, whether it’s storytelling when I dance, or through each stroke with calligraphy. I love to travel. My favorite destination is anywhere warm and sunny.
I started doing calligraphy in 2016 when family and friends would reach out to me to do small projects for their events. It was not until the pandemic where I found myself having calming therapy sessions listening to Lo-Fi music with my favorite brush pen and paper, writing random quotes and song lyrics. This past year, I found so much joy in my own calligraphy journey. I am excited to share my passion with you all and be part of your own journey!
